Stock Policy

At Plasticsmith Armoury, we are constantly striving to enhance our customer experience and provide you with the best service possible. As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we are evolving our policies around items in and out of stock, and around more complex, custom items. The goal is to ensure that you have accurate information about product availability, a seamless ordering process, and the ability to enqueue orders as you always have. 

Keeping Items in Stock

We understand the importance of having products readily available. That's why we have transitioned to a model where we aim to keep items in stock as much as possible. This means that when you browse our website, you can expect to find a wide range of products available for immediate purchase. This does not necessarily mean we can just take the item off the shelf and ship it. We still may need to build the item to your specifications, depending on the options you have selected (strapping, brackets, etc). 

Custom Items

Some items are more complex to make, or take more time. These custom items also now have an "in-stock" number. This number represents the capacity, or "slots" we have to make this item in a timely manner. If the number is more than zero, we have confidence that your order will ship out within the custom item lead time shown at the top of the page. If these items show "out of stock," that means our queue is too full for us to take on new work at the moment. 

Join the Waitlist

In the event that an item is temporarily out of stock, we have introduced a convenient waitlist feature. By joining the waitlist, you will be notified as soon as the item is back in stock, allowing you to secure your purchase without delay. This ensures that you have the opportunity to acquire the products you desire, even if they are temporarily unavailable. We will constantly monitor waiting lists to make sure we are producing the most in-demmand items. The banner at the top of the site will always have information on estimated lead times for when out of stock items will be available.

Does Joining the Waitlist Guarantee Me the Opportunity to Purchase the Item I am Waiting For?

When items are re-stocked, they will be available on a first-come, first served basis. But by joining the waitlist, you will be among the first to know when items are back in stock. 

What if I want quantities greater than available? What about bulk orders? 

There may be times when you are looking for more items than are currently showing in stock. That could be bulk orders, or larger orders that contain both in- and out-of-stock items. In those cases, simply contact us and we can provide custom invoices to meet your needs.

Transparent Lead Times

We understand that knowing the expected delivery time is crucial when making a purchase. To ensure transparency, we prominently display the lead time for orders at the top of our website. This information will give you a clear understanding of how long it will take for your customized items to be crafted and delivered to you. It also gives you an idea of how long it might be before your waitlisted items become available.
