Bazubands are a combination of elbow and forearm armour and are a very popular option for SCA combat. Vacuum formed from 1/4" HDPE, they allow for excellent protection without adding bulk. They can easily slip under sleeves for that "no armour" look, yet give you more arm protection than a cop alone provides. Smaller sizes are vacuum formed from 0.22" sheets, while larger sizes are made from 0.25" sizes to accommodate how larger pieces thin out more when formed.
Note that this is just the lower bazuband piece with no upper forearm plate. These can be finished in any way you choose, from straps, to the upper forearm piece. If you want to cover your bazubands in leather, this would be an excellent place to start. To wrap around the forearm and finish this piece, hardened or splinted leather could be added, along with a buckle. Or, to minimize weight, leave off the upper forearm piece in favour of just a couple of straps.
Sizing
I can make these in just about any size. Because of the variation in arm length vs width, I do not offer a sizing chart. Instead, including the custom sizes asked for will help me to make a custom set that fits you well.
